Our Story
Welcome to Paulie's Italian Delicatessen, where tradition meets innovation! You may recognize us as those who served you at Empire State Deli, founded by Paul Tufaro in 2004. Following COVID-19, we decided to move from Downtown to Uptown. This move allows us to offer an expanded menu filled with authentic Italian dishes, rich espresso, a full bar, and live entertainment in a warm, inviting atmosphere while still continuing our traditions from 2004. We'd love for you to try our new Italian dinner menu, curated by Paul Tufaro and Peter Nigro; and our cocktail menu designed by Michelle Lombard featuring our Italian liqueurs. Don't worry - we still have our famous New York-style deli by Vincent Gagliano of 15 years here, where you can enjoy Boar's Head Premium cold cut sandwiches. You can even bring home Boar's Head slices from our deli case. Join us for a taste of the Big Apple in the Big Easy on Oak Street!
